Butterscotch  is a beautiful girl, rescued along with his 5 littermates/cousins from an apartment complex in Culpeper where a kindly caretaker had been feeding them. Two gorgeous females, probably sisters and mommas were spayed, vaccinated, treated with Revolution and will be returned. All six kittens 5 orange tabbies, and one DLH black female are being fostered and socialized to prepare them for adoption. Orange tabby females are not typical and Butterscotch and her sister Sunshine would love to be adopted together. They are making a rapid adjustment from life under the deck to the Cat Palace - where cats rule - and life is good.

About For The Cats' Sake

About Our Rescue Group...

For The Cats' Sake was founded in 2014 in response to a need for TNR in Rappahannock County, Virginia. Since that time, we have encountered many situations where there is no place for the cats to be returned. In other instances the cats are friendly or there are momma cats too pregnant to be spayed, or young kittens that are adoptable, but need socialization and foster care. Currently we have about 40 cats and kittens in foster care being prepared for adoption. All felines are Up to Date on vaccinations and tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV. Depending on age at time of adoption, they are also Spayed/Neutered.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our foster homes are in Flint Hill and Culpeper VA.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption process begins with an application which includes vet references and landlord permission for renters. Potential adopters are encouraged to visit the cats/kittens in their foster homes so they see them in a comfortable situation. In many instances a volunteer will deliver the cat/kitten to their new home to assist the family in preparing their home getting the adoption off to a good start. There are no set fees, we request a donation.
