Facts about Millie

  • Color: White - With Red, Golden, Orange Or Chestnut
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Millie has a sad past. Humans had not been good to her allowing her to be beat up on by other dogs for unethical, inhumane, illegal baiting. Her deformities to her lips speak volumes and make you want to love her even more and make up for all the unkindness she has endured. The AMAZING thing is that she is not angry or aggressive as you might expect. When she arrived, she was timid and fearful but she has learned to trust us and has blossomed into a sweet, loving girl who knows she is safe and seems appreciative to be alive. She has a very, very sweet disposition; for sure does not like cats though. She would make a GREAT only dog for someone who can give her the love she so deserves. This is not to say she is not good with other dogs but given her past experience of being attacked, if another dog ran toward her who knows what might go through her sweet little mind. For this reason, it’s recommended that introductions to other dogs be madewith caution. Our vet says the damage to her lips cannot be repaired but Millie has adapted to her deformities very well. Her year of birth is approximately 2008 and her weight is around 50 lbs. To learn more about sweet Millie, please contact RickyC68@aol.com and please include a phone number where you can be reached. Millie will thank a million times over the family that takes her in, makes her part of their family and shows her what it means to be loved and treated with kindness and compassion. Thank you.

About Smiling Dog Farms - CT Chapter

About Our Rescue Group...

Smiling Dog Farms is a sanctuary for the forgotten, neglected and rejected. Our dogs come from shelters and rescues all across America. All dogs that are deemed adoptable are up to date on shots, spayed or neutered, and on heartworm prevention. Many of our dogs live in Wharton Texas, but we have very safe, reliable transport to the northeastern states.

Our sanctuary dogs that have been deemed “unadoptable” because they have bitten someone, or have other behavioral challenges, have a safe home with us for their lifetime and are also up to date on shots, sterilized and on heartworm prevention.

Our Adoption Process...

Most of the dogs that come to our Sanctuary have had a scary background of being left to die in animal shelters across the country. Understandably, we are very careful in our approving our adoptions as we are dedicated to ensuring that this dogs truly go to a "forever" home. As a result, our process is stringent, requiring an application, home visit, vet and reference checks and an adoption contract. We want the adoption to be a match made in heaven for both the new adoptive parents and the adopted dog.
