Polly's Story...
Polly #16-305. Arrived 6/24/2016 at 5-6 years old.
Polly is a dog who came to us as a stray and it was obvious that she has spent more time then usual outside and without care. Polly wants nothing more then to be with the person she is with. She never strays further then a few feet away when you walk with her in the play yard. Polly is also extremely obedient when you tell her to come, she needs reassurance that she is coming for a good reason and not because you are upset with her. Polly has not shown interest in any toys, she prefers to be close and have a gentle hand on her. Polly will even gently jump her upper body into your lap to have more attention. Polly appears to have had a life of making litters, and she came to us with two different types of intestinal parasites for which she has been treated. If you are looking for a Pitbull who wants the attention of a Golden Retriever....then Polly is your girl!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Polly, a West Babylon Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in West Babylon, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in West Babylon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in West Babylon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a West Babylon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in West Babylon paves the way for another one to be saved.
