Leo(ADOPTED!)'s Story...
LEO HAS BEEN ADOPTED! Leo is a precious 10 week old male Collie/shepherd mix in need of a family. Leo was rescued with his twin brother Ross from a pound in southern IL. Leo is a super sweet, snuggly, fuzzy puppy. He can be a little shy at first, but he warms up quickly. He loves being held and thinks he's a lap dog. Leo also loves other dogs and will be a great companion. Leo came to us with a bad skin infection which is cleared up now, but he still has a little bit of hair loss around his mouth, but it is growing back very nicely. Leo's adoption fee is $350. His fee includes his first vaccines, neuter, microchip and worming. Please email animaladoption@hotmail.com or call Samantha at (773) 615-9864

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Leo(ADOPTED!), a Chicago Collie/Australian Shepherd puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie/Australian Shepherd for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Collie/Australian Shepherd puppy from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Collie/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
