Here's what the humans have to say about me:
10-11 year old Jake is a West Virginia flood victim. His owners lost their home in those terrible floods and Jake became homeless. With heavy hearts, he was sent to an animal shelter, and then came to us. Jake is a great dog. He gets along fine with all the other dogs here - is crate trained, has been vaccinated against rabies and distemper/parvo, and tested negative for heartworm disease and is on preventative. Jake has also been treated for fleas, and groomed. Jake is not neutered - it is the opinion of our veterinarian that the risk of anesthesia for a dog Jake's age far outweighs any medical benefits that might be derived from the surgery. If you would like to offer this fine older gent a gentle home to retire to, please submit an application which you can find on our website (www.almostheaven-golden-retriever-rescue.org) Most common adoption questions will be answered on the cover sheet, so please read it before asking. Emailing your application will get the fastest response.
