Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Gator is a handsome 13 pound, 4 year old piebald boy looking for love!
Gator loves belly rubs and he is quite a snuggler. Gator gets along well with dogs and older respectful children. Gator sleeps in his crate every night in his foster home in Georgia. Gator loves to go for walks and does very well on a leash. He does have a high pretty drive and will try and chase squirrels and even cars so he requires a securely fenced yard. Gator would not do well in a home with cats.
Gator is well house trained, but like all dachshunds, needs to be encouraged to go outside to potty on a regular basis. Like all dachshunds he will need to be confident in his environment to have good potty habits. All rescue dogs go thru a period of adjustment so understanding and patience is important.
Gator came into rescue with a very sore back (IVDD) and has had therapy and rehab and is doing very well now.
Gator loves to burrow and likes plenty of blankets to snuggle into in his crate and in a bed. A true snuggler, Gator would love a home where he could have lots of individual attention.
This handsome young boy is looking for love! Are you going to be the one to make his dreams come true?
