I’m a handsome boy always looking my fabulous feline best. I’m Checkers. I’m mostly white with black markings – so am I a tuxedo or a cow cat? Hmm….I guess you’ll have to come and meet me to see! Don’t you love my pink nose? It’s pretty darn cute. My fur is so soft and purr-fect for petting. I also like to be brushed so I’m always looking dapper. I LOVE to be pet and I LOVE to try to pet my human friends – see, I give head-butts to show you how much I like being with you. I’m such a sweetheart that I’ll let you pick me up and cuddle me like a baby. So, come on out to FOHA and check me out – I’m Checkers!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Checkers, a Aldie Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
