Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Shep is a little dachshund mix pup. He was born April 17, 2016. His mom is a wire haired dachshund mix, but we don't know about the dad. He weighs approx 7 lbs as of July 31, 2016. He is a very sweet and playful little pup, loves his little brother Rollo and just loves to run and play with all of his rescue buddies. He is probably going to be 15-20 lbs when fully grown. As he is a fairly small breed pup, we request children over 10 years old. He will need house and harness training, and he has a great disposition and is very smart. He will learn very quickly.
The total adoption donation of $575 and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. .
Just as a note, if you are in Massachusetts and are adopting directly from Texas rather than from a local foster, there are new quarantine laws in effect. All rescues must be quarantined 48 hours at a state run facility, and in addition, a second interstate health certificate is required to be issued by a Massachusetts vet. This new law adds an additional cost of $125.
