Urrie's Story...
Name: Urrie
Sex: Female
Breed: Jack Russell Mix
Age: 10 months old
Weight: 16 lbs
Good with: People, cats & dogs.

This cute little girl came into the shelter with her sister, Athena. They are 9 months old and both are very sweet, playful and friendly. Urrie is eager to please and her tail never stops wagging. She absolutely loves chasing balls in the yard, running around and then settling down to cuddle. She is crate trained and can sleep all night in her crate, but she also LOVES to cuddle in bed with her humans. Urrie knows "sit" and is working on "down" and "stay". This girl loves ALL treats, but doesn't like being left alone. She tends to have a slight preference for the lady humans over the men and will follow you all over the place! Urrie can't wait to find her perfect furever home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Urrie, a Boston Jack Russell Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Boston, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier puppy from a breeder in Boston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boston paves the way for another one to be saved.
