About So Cal Dogs in Need Network, Big Dogs Division

About Our Rescue Group...

So Cal Dogs in Need, Big Dogs Division is a member of an experienced and dedicated rescues and shelters network from many different organizations in the State of California. This group came together as an outreach organization for those individuals who were not serviced by mainstream programs such as the homeless, undocumented persons, etc. Those of us who wanted to help but could not through our more traditional programs started working together to provide solutions to those people and their pets in need who fell through the proverbial "crack" in the system. And, of course, giant and large breed dogs suffered the most. Member of national Mill Dog Rescue Program. We use a system of foster homes and board at private licensed kennels and commercial licensed kennels as needed. Adoptions currently being held in the Antelope Valley, Kern County, Ventura County, Los Angeles County, San Diego, Santa Barbara and the Inland Empire areas. Email us for schedule. Referral services always cheerfully provided.

Come Meet Our Pets...

By appointment only and major adoption events (America's Family Pet Expo, Pet Expo USA), mobile pet adoptions - locations change for special events. Adoptions currently being held in the Antelope Valley, Kern County, Ventura County, Los Angeles County, San Diego, Santa Barbara and the Inland Empire areas. Email us for schedule. By networking with 20 or more rescue organizations all over California, we are able to provide more adoption options for dogs participating in our network.

Our Adoption Process...

Adoption applications and personal interviews are required for each potential adopter. Contracts are required for each adoption. A home check and veterinary reference is also required on each adoption. Adoption fees are based on cost of care for each adoptee and board determined program fees.
