Hi, My name is Cleo!

Treeing Walker Coonhound For Adoption in Nashville

There is a $75 adoption/rehoming fee. All supplies will be included.

I’m just 5 months old and had a bit of a rough start in life. I was adopted from a rescue by my current owners, and have blossomed from a skinny, shy pup that was afraid of her own shadow into the confident, healthy cutie you see before you. I currently live with my owners in Antioch, near Nashville, Tennessee.

I am a Treeing Walker Coonhound with a gorgeous tri-color coat. I am long and lean, with growing yet to do. I weigh only 31 pounds right now, and should be no more than 50 pounds fully grown. My owners say that I am very sweet. I am smart, a bit of a clown, eager to learn and very obedient. I want to make my owners happy. I am very clean, too, always grooming myself to look my very best.

I am good with most dogs, and getting better all the time. I have never been around cats, so probably they would not be a good choice as house-mates for me. We TR Walker dogs are known to be quite good with children, but I have not had a lot of exposure to small humans. I would likely be great with kids, but preferably the older ones who know not to poke eyes, pull tails and hit dogs with toys. Yelling and screaming isn’t my favorite thing, either, so calmer, well-behaved kids would be best.

My owners love me to bits. They are really sad to be looking for a new home for me, but with busy professional careers, they have found that they just aren’t able to give me the amount of attention I need and very much deserve. They want the very best for me, and realize that I will have a better life in a home with people who are able to give me their full attention.

I’m an athletic puppy with a good amount of energy. I need a home with a large, securely fenced yard to roam, sniff, and romp in. I need owners who like to stay active, and who will take me for a walk, run or hike each day. I would love to have another dog as a friend.

I would make an exceptional hunting dog, but I do want to be first and foremost a beloved family companion. As a hound, I will be sure to keep vermin at bay, tree any coons and possums in your midst, scare away bears and wildcats, and let you know when strangers stop by.

Please offer me a loving home today. I’m a really great pup with a lot of love to offer. I have come so far in such a short time – let’s see how far I can go from here!

Can’t wait to meet you and charm my way into your heart and home.

Love and licks,
