Jeffy is a handsome five year old male Shih Tzu. He weighs 17 pounds and is very solid, but not overweight. He’s a very sweet, calm, quiet boy. He came into rescue after living with an owner who could no longer care for him. Jeffy is a true companion dog in that he loves people and wants to be with you at all times. He enjoys playing with his foster sister, and loves to go for walks and car rides. He seldom barks and just has a mellow, laid back disposition. Even though he is five years of age, he hasn’t had much experience with being outside and outdoor activities, or climbing up/down stairs, so he’s just now learning about both. We’ve seen him stare in awe at a bunny through the window for half an hour without barking. He loves to cuddle, and would especially like to sleep with you at night, but he occasionally snores a bit.
Jeffy is doing well with house training if kept on a regular schedule. He is starting to learn to let his foster parents know when he needs to go out. He likes to cuddle in bed and wants to lay right next to you. He is very good with other small dogs, would probably do okay with cats, and older children. He behaves well in the bath tub and seems to enjoy having a bath.
Jeffy’s adoption fee is $270.00 plus $19.64 sales tax for a total of $289.64. He is healthy, neutered, current on vaccinations, microchipped, and on heartworm and flea/tick preventative. He is scheduled for a dental cleaning and will be available for adoption after August 7th.
