Brittney (in CT)'s Story...
Brittney (in CT) is 18 weeks old. She's a gray tabby with streaks of brown, so "torbie" is a good description (tortie+tabby). She was a little camera shy when we tried to get photos--she's the one in the back, but the 3 siblings look very similar except for Brittney's brown & Benzi's white. She came to us with her brother Benzi & her sister Brodie. They don't need to stay together, but they should have SOME kind of company most of the time.

She has been tested for FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) & FeLV (feline leukemia virus) & found to be negative, and is already spayed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brittney (in CT), a East Hartford Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in East Hartford, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in East Hartford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in East Hartford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a East Hartford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in East Hartford paves the way for another one to be saved.
