**Sarafena is currently being fostered in HOUSTON. She is available for out-of-state adoption as well to the perfect family. Sarafena and her kittens were rescued from a local kill shelter and we couldn’t leave them there. To top it off one of Sarafena’s babies is a special needs boy. We took these babies home and found out they had an upper respiratory infection. Sarafena became so sick that she stopped eating. Her foster mom had to syringe feed her for 2 weeks. She was already skinny from giving birth and feeding 4 young kittens but now she was ill too. Her foster mom syringe fed her, gave her nebulizer treatments, humidifier treatments and medication to help her get through this nasty cold. Finally after 2 weeks she started eating on her own again! She is now happy and healthy and looking for her forever home!

Sarafena loves to lay in her foster moms lap, loves to be pet and brushed! She is an absolute sweetheart that gave birth to 4 beautiful kittens and she too deserves a very special home. She doesn’t have the fancy colors that draw most people in but beauty is not always what a cat looks like. Her loving personality is what it should be about. The vet thinks she is between 1-2 years old. She is tolerant of dogs that don’t pay much attention to her. She is not a fan of dogs that are in her face, but we are working on it.

**Sarafena is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and doing very well in her foster home. She is ready to find her family to complete her transformation. If our sweet girl sounds like a perfect match for your family, please email us at for more information. Her adoption fee is $250 to help cover the cost of her airline flight and her travel crate.

About Paw Huggers - Canada

About Our Rescue Group...

Paw Huggers Animal Rescue is a non-profit, no kill, and all volunteer animal rescue based in Tomball, Texas. Our mission is to rescue abandoned and neglected dogs and cats, and provide them with a safe living environment and medical care until a permanent, loving home is found. Paw Huggers Animal Rescue relies solely on volunteers, fosters, and donations.

We at Paw Huggers are grateful for such a giving group of foster volunteers. By fostering an animal in need, you are able to show them what it is like to be in a safe environment full of love. Many of our animals have not had the chance, or have forgotten, what it is like to be part of a family.

Fostering a dog or cat is a tangible and rewarding way to make a difference in that animals life. Every foster space that we have available takes another animal off of the streets. It is difficult to learn the true personality of an animal that is caged all day in a boarding facility. By fostering these dogs and cats we are able to learn their personalities and better evaluate them for their forever home.
