Hi! I am Jasper and I have a personality to match my big ears and my tongue that always seems to be sticking out, even when I sleep! I am about 2 and a half years old, and unfortunately have came back to Ruts a couple of times, but I'm so glad I get another shot at finding the right fit for a furever family. I prefer males who know how to show me what is expected of my behavior, as I am very strong willed and a little stubborn. I do not like to be touched when I eat, so please just let me enjoy my food in peace. I am really good at fetch and can catch the ball in the air! I love all dogs, even small ones. I'm about 100 lbs. right now but my foster mom has me on a diet to help me get healthier. I don't even need to be crated when I am alone because I don't chew on anything but my toys, but I do prefer to be limited to one room. Otherwise, I sometimes get excited and have a potty accident. I always ask to go potty when my foster parents are home though, and I never potty in my room when they're gone. I do not understand some types of training, and my foster mom can tell you all about the ways I do understand and respond. I walk well on a leash, and would do best in a home with other dogs, older children, and a furver human dad. No one knows why, but sometimes women make me nervous. I am sweet as can be to strangers that come over, but my bark will let you know someone is at the door. I take treats nicely, and am very patient and let the other dogs get theirs first. Please fill out an application if you think I might be a match for you and your family!

About Ruts Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

My husband and I started out saving stray animals. We would make all attempts in finding their owners and if we were unsuccessful we would vet these fur babies and find them homes. We decided to become official and obtained our 501 (c) 3 status in 2014 and have been up and running since! We ourselves have a zoo including many dogs and cats of all ages. Animal rescue is our passion and we only find homes for our adoptable animals with people who share that same passion. Check out our Ruts Rescue Facebook page and website to find out more about us!
