Dory's Story...
Hey, hey, hey! Whatcha’ doing?? Do you wanna play?! My name is Dory and I’m a spayed, 5 month old Lab/ Pointer mix. I am an adventurer. I love to discover new things and boy-o-boy, has there been a lot to explore lately! It wasn’t long ago that I was traveling with my Mom and Sis; we were lost and trying to find a safe place to rest. Thankfully, a nice lady found us and brought us here. It’s pretty cool here. They give us these things that squeak, roll and sometimes even taste really good! I think they call them toys…do you have any toys at your house? If you do, then you’re super lucky and I think you need a puppy called Dory to help you play with them! They tell me I will find a best friend, a family to love me forever and ever and I think this sounds marvelous. I don’t believe there could be more exciting journey, than finding forever love.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dory, a Murphysboro Labrador Retriever/Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Pointer for sale in Murphysboro, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Pointer dog from a breeder in Murphysboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Murphysboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Murphysboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Pointer breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Murphysboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
