My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Shadow is an 8 year old purebred Australian Shepherd who sports a beautiful mahogany red coat with white trim. Don't let his age fool you. He acts like he is 4. He was placed in a shelter along with 2 other small dogs when his owner died. Luckily there were rescue partners who spotted him and he came to CTHDR.

Shadow is very outgoing with people and loves to meet and greet. He also has a healthy alert bark for strangers at the door, but will warm up to them once told it is ok.

He gets along well with a dog savvy cat and older Aussie in his foster home. He does like to choose his own dog friends and won't tolerate another pushy male dog. He is fine with females. Shadow loves to be just that-your Shadow and would love to have someone go for 2 or 3 walks a day with him. When playing he will grumble and talk and even bark, but will stop when told to. He appears to have won many games of Tug! He loves to play games and bounces at the door in anticipation of his walk. He has good obedience commands and knows sit, down stay and come. He also knows leave it and go into your crate. Riding in the car is a favorite with Shadow and he is ever ready to go!

Shadow is neutered, up to date on vaccines, de-wormed, Heart worm Negative, Micro-chipped and on Heart worm and flea/tick prevention.
