She needs love, a home, two shots a day of insulin, and given healthy food, other dog friends, and just some peace. We rescued her this past Thursday. She is all bones. But took her to our vet on Friday who kept her for two days doing all the tests, and keeping her on IV. It is complicated, but what isn't? Picked her up last night, and it is a struggle. We had to learn how to give her the twice daily shots of insulin without her biting us, and getting into the routine needed to save her. Its not bad, just have to do it. I told her last night she now has us and we will help her get well, and be happy. Now she needs YOU! She is such a sweet girl.
She is already friends with Huxley, they are the same size, and age. We will need to raise funds, and she really needs a full time Mom and Dad to just love and adore her. But first we have to get her stable. Being with our other little dogs has made her world shine, and she thinks Huxley is quite the man. It is love. But now she just really needs treatment and a safe place to stay well. Please share . . . . we need to get her a real home! I have named her Carmelina! She is a real doll and plans to dance and sing for her Huxley. She does have cataracts, but don't we all. Its an easy fix. Lets make her the princess she deserves to be for many years to come now.
