Rex's Story...
Name: Rex
Breed: Lab/Shepherd mix
Age: Young Adult
Gender: Male

Rex is a young adult male Lab/Shepherd mix, a goofy happy dog who gets along very well with cats and other dogs, loves kids. Rex came to us after his owner was caught beating him for swimming off following canoes down the river. He loves water and people, and left outside on his own he was finding his own fun. Rex shows zero side effects from his past home, he is very friendly and curious, loves people and doesn't seem to expect the worst from them. He lived with kids and other pets and did well. He is house trained, crate trained now in foster, and loves walks, car rides, and of course swimming. Rex came from a rural home and would need at least a yard in his new placement, he is used to some space. He's just a perfectly perfect family dog looking for a family to love. Rex is not available to adopt until August 20th.

Requirements: Yard in the home

You can email with questions and for a preadopt application. This dog has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated as age appropriate, tested for heartworm disease if age appropriate, and dewormed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rex, a Minneapolis Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Minneapolis, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Minneapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minneapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minneapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minneapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
