Although Handee had a rough start in life, he has an amazing spirit and is more than ready to give family life a try! Thanks to the Nordic Paws Project, he will soon experience what it’s like to have a home of his own. Handee, who is Abba and Sheba’s littermate, also has some neurological problems. Despite this challenge, Handee is capable of living a happy, healthy, and productive life. Neurological problems in dogs can take many forms, and some can be hard to see. For Handee, these differences are part of his every day existence, and he handles them as well as any dog could — with grace and resilience. He is occasionally unsteady on his feet and at times he shakes until he gets his bearings. Handee likes the company of other dogs and we believe that he would enjoy sharing his space with a dog who could be his mentor. He would best suit an experienced guardian who is ready to do some training and accept him as he is. At this time, he is too busy enjoying his new life to feel sorry for himself; in fact, his condition in no way prevents his from going for walks, basking in the sunshine or accepting love and belly rubs from humans. In the meantime Handee is enjoying his time at Animatch and treating each day as a new adventure. For Handee, the icing on the cake will be a furever home.
