Thatcher is about 3 years old and this long-haired chihuahua mix is finally ready to meet his new family. It took him a little while to get over the trauma of being one of 280 dogs living in a hoarding situation. Thatcher was very scared when he arrived but after several weeks of working with him, he has come such a long way and now is happy to cuddle up with people that he trusts. He is still a little shy with meeting new people but if you give him time, Thatcher will be crawling up in your lap before you know it. He has learned to walk very well on a leash and enjoys checking out everything outside, since he spent his life indoors. He gets along fine with other dogs that are quiet and mellow like he is and would probably be just fine with cats. Thatcher will need a home with no children under 12 and a more commotion-free, safe home. He will need an experienced dog owner that will give him time and patience to adjust to his new life and keep him safe in the process.
