Dear potential forever family,
Hi, I’m Nala! A 7-year-old female Maltipoo with a big personality and glass-is-overflowing attitude. You’ll notice I’m missing an eye and my jaw is on the mend, but I haven’t let that damper my spirit. I’ve been in recovery mode after being attacked by another dog much bigger than me… my family at the time brought be to the vet to say goodbye, but after seeing my smile and wagging tail the vet could do no such thing! Unfortunately, my once-family weren’t interested in seeing me through the good and the bad, so I ended up at my vet’s office who mended me up and took PAWfect care of me during the extensive 6-hour surgery to fix me up. I literally wouldn’t be here without them! Patience isn’t my biggest virtue, but I’m oh-so-ready to find my true forever home. I am definitely a people pup and want to be by my person most, if not all, of the time. My motto is smiles, kisses, and cuddles and my intention is to give lots of love. I’m playful, yet perfectly content being low-key and curling up with you for a movie. Nothing makes me happier than being by your side! I have lots of sugar to give to my person and perhaps a bit of spice for my fellow canine, some have even referred to it as “little dog syndrome.” High energy dogs are a bit ruff for me to handle and it's probably best if I'm the only dog in my new home. I will never turn down a stuffed toy and will thrive with someone who is patient and quick to praise, but also has boundaries and confidence... that way I can let you be the alpha and I'll be able to be a fun-loving pup. If you’re looking for a BFF and whole lot of cuteness, then I’m the constant companion for you!
