Courage's Story...
Courage is a 1 year to 1.5 year old terrier/schnauzer mix who came to us weighing 4 pounds. He was so malnourished you could count every rib and bone in his body. We have nursed him back to health, he now weighs 10 pounds, though he is heartworm positive, and now that he is healthy, he will soon begin treatment. He is such a lovable little guy who really didn't deserve this. He gets along well with the other dogs and cats. His transformation from weighing 4 pounds and being so malnourished that he had to spend 2 days on IV's at our vet, to this lovable dog that is ready to be a perfect companion for someone is nothing short of amazing! He is ready to be adopted and ready to share his love with his new Forever Family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Courage, a Tavares Schnauzer (Standard)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Standard)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Tavares, or seeking a Schnauzer (Standard)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Tavares.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tavares already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tavares breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Standard)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Schnauzer (Standard)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tavares paves the way for another one to be saved.
