Roscoe's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Roscoe's Story...
Roscoe is still in New Orleans with Looziana Basset Rescue but can be easily transported up to Putnam, CT using Rescue Road Trips. Our adoption fee is $300 but this can be lowered some because Roscoe is around 10 years old. The transport fee is $185. We check vet references and do home visits prior to an adoption. We require that our dogs be on monthly year round heartworm prevention.
Roscoe is a sweet old guy that was given up, for no known reason, to an animal shelter in St. Bernard, LA. He is house trained and would be a wonderful companion for anyone. He is fine with other dogs and all people. He enjoys walks and car rides. Please email QueenB534@aol.com for more information and to request an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Roscoe, a Boston Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound for sale in Boston, or seeking a Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Boston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boston paves the way for another one to be saved.
