My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Half of Rudy's adoption fee has been sponsored by a very gracious donor! His adoption fee is now $150.00. Rudy is confused as to why no one wants to adopt him. He would love a home for the holidays.

Meet Rudy, you will be very impressed with his great demeanor when you meet him. He's funny and sweet. He snuggles, but is independent. He notices everything! He's a fun, loving pooch who also loves the water. He is really a fantastic dog!!! Rudy has a cute little half bark to announce visitors and say hello. His transition to any new home will be pretty seamless as he's pretty chilled and easy going. Friends and family who have met him fall for him quickly because he is just so pleasant. Just a little dreamboat of a guy.

As you can see in the one picture of Rudy, he looks really confused why his sister has found a home and no one wants him. He's such a great dog!

Rudy is much smaller then he looks in the photos. Breed we really have no idea. Given he isn't going to be very big, that was a tough guess. He's really just a sweet, friendly, handsome mutt.

Rudy spent a couple weeks at a temp fosters summer home vacationing while his permanent foster was on vacation. Boy oh boy did he have a great time. He loved the water, and he had the time of his life. Rudy was born 03-26-2016, and weighs about 25 pounds as of November 16, 2016. Based on his current age and weight, we think he will be a small ...medium size dog who likely won't grow to be larger then 35 pounds. He loves people and is fabulous with other dogs. He also spent a couple weeks with a kitty and did fine. So if you have a dog friendly kitty, everything should be fine. Rudy is very lovable, adorable, and would make a wonderful addition to your family.

Rudy is crate trained and house broken. He doesn't spend much time in his crate anymore because he is such a great dog. There is no destructive chewing or accidents. He sleeps in bed at night with one of the children in the home. When the foster family sleeps for a few hours, he is locked in the sunroom with his crate door open. He doesn't go in the crate, but instead prefers to lounge enjoying the sun.

Rudy and his sister arrived into the rescue in late spring of of 2016 petty sick and missing much of their fur. They were diagnosed with severe Dermatitis. With an awesome foster mom, Bravecto, antibiotics, and many, many baths... lrudy looks fabulous! He is fully recovered and ready to find a forever home. His sister is adopted, and Rudy is really hoping to have a home for the holidays.

Rudy is being fostered in a home in South Naperville, which is where you and your family would go to meet him. All family members, including 4-legged, must be present at the meet and greet to adopt. In order to schedule a meet and greet, please submit and adoption application which can be found on-line at http://angelsonwheels.org/canine-adoption-application/ Once we receive the application we will process. It does take some time, so please be patient. Thank you.

Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but is required prior to making arrangements for a meet and greet as all of our animals are cared for in homes. We can't schedule meet and greets until the application is submitted and approved. We don't have a building so there are no viewing hours. All of our animals are cared for in foster homes by wonderful families who volunteer their time to save these precious souls. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

The adoption fee of $300.00 includes:
Neutering which is now done
Microchip,
Dewormed with panacur,
Skin scraping which was negative
Treatment for the skin issue with medicated baths and medication,
Fecal tested Negative
Monthly Heartworm Preventative while in our care
Monthly Flea Preventative while in our care
Given Bravecto upon arrival then revolution monthly
All of the puppy vaccinations for DHPP are now done,
Rabies Vaccination

You will also receive a free health exam visit to either Crest Hill Cat and Dog Clinic, Yorkville Animal Hospital, Midwest Animal Hospital in Orland Park, Springbrook Animal Hospital, or Naperville Animal Hospital.

Although we make the best guess on the breed and size of our dogs, because they come from shelters or are strays, we can never be completely certain of the genetic makeup of the dog. Breed and weight at maturity are only guesses. All we can tell you for sure is that they are 100% RESCUED! If an animal is still posted for adoption, he/she is still available. If you see this this post, this puppy is available for adoption so there is no need to email asking about availability.

Thank you for looking at our rescued animals!
