Loki's Story...
Meet Loki! This big boy is incredibly good looking and has an adorable underbite. He is totally going to be your go-to active pup that wants to stay on-the-go as much as possible! At 66lbs, Loki could use some work in the manners department. With the right structure, we know he's going to be an incredible addition to a lucky family. To help out with keeping him active, our caretakers have been exercising him in our agility field and he has been doing great! He is also a fabulous playmate to a number of dogs here at DHA! He loves to play and wrestle with his friends, but also listens to them if he's being too much. He is wonderfully tolerant and will happily play all day long. Maybe he's the perfect playmate for your own dog! Won’t you ask to spend time with him outside? He would love to show you how playful he is!

We will let you know Loki is available and able to have applications submitted once you've met. For more information, please give us a call at (302) 571-0111 or visit us at our center (701 A Street Wilmington, DE) Tuesday-Friday 12-7pm or Saturday & Sunday 12-5pm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Loki, a Wilmington Labrador Retriever/Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Great Dane for sale in Wilmington, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Great Dane dog from a breeder in Wilmington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wilmington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wilmington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Great Dane breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wilmington paves the way for another one to be saved.
