Arrival: July 2016
Background: Shyla was surrendered to MARL because her owner could no longer care for her.
Shyla is a gentle, affectionate girl that loves to snuggle. She is house trained and knows how to sit.
Compatibility: Based on our evaluation, we feel that Shyla has the potential to get along well with other dogs and cats.
Field Trip Report:
"Shyla had a wonderful time at my house for the weekend! We went to the park and she enjoyed herself a lot. While she still tugs on the leash a little, it is not hard to correct her from pulling. She is very eager to please! She didn't make a peep at the ducks while they were quacking at her. Shyla enjoys staying by your side and relaxing, both inside and outside. She will play when initiated, but she mostly wants to snuggle and have her belly rubbed. She does not jump on furniture without permission and also does great in the car. Shyla is a great dog!" - Christine, MARL Animal Care Technician.
