Avery's Story...
Hello there! My name is Avery, and I am an adorable love bug of an orange-tabby-with-white DSH little girl who was born in April 2016. My copper-penny eyes match my copper-silky fur, so count on your heart's melting when you first encounter me. And you'll love it that I have a white bib, white mittens, and high white go-go boots.
I'm friendly and sociable. In fact, I have never met a stranger. I love to cuddle and will curl up on your lap contentedly and turn my purr motor on high volume to show my contentment.
Yet I'm no couch potato! I'm playful with all the 4-legged critters in my foster home because I get along great with both dogs and other cats.
Did you know that only 20% of orange tabbies are female? I was the only girl in a litter of 5 orange kittens, so I hit the statistics perfectly! Does that make me a ruby-red gem, or what?
So what's stopping your coming to meet me? I'm such a perfect ginger tabby kitten that you would have to resist pretty hard not to adopt me right away!
Avery is updated on shots, spayed, dewormed, microchipped, FIV/ FeLV negative, and ready for her indoor-only home. Her adoption fee is $125 for kittens 9 months old and younger, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Avery, a Houston Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Houston, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
