Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Russell - 5 year old male purebred Miniature Schnauzer. Russell was rescued from an LA county shelter where she came in with 8 other dogs after being confiscated due to neglect. Most of the dogs were adopted but we rescued Russell and Corky (below). Russell looked like he had never been groomed in his life, literally it was difficult to know which end was which! His ears were badly infected so much that he didn't want anyone to touch his head. Because he was hurting and wouldn't let anyone touch him he got put in the observation building and was not visible to anyone. Russell was never aggressive but was fearful and mainly protective of himself due to being in pain. While the shelter neutered him they were nice enough to try their best at grooming him. When we got him he went to the vet immediate to get his ear problem address.. he had to be sedated to have his ears treated. After three weeks of treatment he feels much better and is a totally different dog personality wise. Russell has turned into an affectionate little guy who loves to be petted and give affection too. We think he probably had very little human interaction before we got him, so its amazing what a sweetheart he has become. Russell has a natural tail and is about 21 pounds.
