Gracie's Story...
I'm Gracie and here's my story. I was a stray in Patterson and ended up in the Modesto shelter with my 4 babies. They were a lot of work, but have now all gotten adopted. I didn't trust too many humans as I've lived a lot of my life on my own. I've never known what it felt like to be safe and cared for before and I'd never been inside a house until now. It's really pretty great and I like getting ear and belly rubs. I'm starting to fill out a bit now that my babies are gone. My foster mom is starting to take me on walks. I'm dog friendly and cats don't really bother me either. I'm working on my house training and have almost gotten the hang of it. I'm really very thankful that I was rescued. Doing it all on your own is hard. I can finally start to relax now. I'd really like a nice quiet home to call my own. I'm a very sweet and gentle soul that would love to find my forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gracie, a Lodi German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever for sale in Lodi, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Lodi.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lodi already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lodi breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lodi paves the way for another one to be saved.
