Rufus's Story...
Meet Rufus...a very handsome and young Dane mix boy....he is in need of a home, he is UTD on shots, HW preventative and neutered.
This boy needs some "direction" or should I say "redirection" in his play activities. He is a little rough when playing but this is correctable and he should go to a Dane experienced home. He will do best in an experienced, active home that will have patience and consistency in his training to teach him he has choices and he does not have to demand attention, to learn when calm and relaxed is when he gets interaction or treats, he is a smart boy. He wants to please and with 100% positive reinforcement training will quickly learn, and be a great companion.
He's fine with other dogs, lives with a cat and kids, but older kids are a must. If you are interested in Rufus, please email southernstylegdr@gmail.com for an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rufus, a Gallatin Great Dane/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane/Labrador Retriever for sale in Gallatin, or seeking a Great Dane/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Gallatin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gallatin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gallatin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Great Dane/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gallatin paves the way for another one to be saved.
