Here's what the humans have to say about me:
If Baxter was competing in the Olympics, he would take the gold in the zoomies competition. Our little guy loves doing full speed laps around the yard and living room, stopping for moments to wrestle with his foster sister, and then crashing on his foster mom's lap (sometimes sitting up!) for a good snooze. Baxter is making up for lost time since life wasn't always this fun. Sadly, Baxter was brought into the vet as a euthanasia request at only 8 months old since his owners didn't even want to try to treat him for Parvovirus, an illness that can be easily avoided with yearly vaccines. Thankfully his life was in the hands of our amazing veterinary team, who refused the euthanasia and worked bring him back to full health. Now 8.5 months ans just 10 pounds, our Maltese/Westie athlete has a zest for life like no other and a great love for people, which he proves to his foster family daily by showering them with kisses. Baxter's foster dad will be the first to tell you that there's simply not a mean bone in this little guy's body. Baxter is working on house training and crate training and he's already made fantastic progress. He is also neutered, up to date on vaccines, heart worm negative, microchipped and has received a clean bill of health from our vet.
