Bernie's Story...
Hey there! My name is Bernie, and I'm a cute, rowdy gray-with-white DSH fella with personality plus who was born in April 2016. Don't let my sweet, innocent face fool you! I'm no sissy, No sir, I'm all boy -- like the way they describe my 2-legged counterparts -- "snips and snails and puppy dog's tails." Nothing thrills me more than to play and wrestle. Then again, I'm young and have lots of energy. I'm so brave because I'm not scared of anything.
Once I'm thoroughly exhausted, I have to admit that I'm also a sweet boy who loves to snuggle, give kisses, and help style my foster mom's hair. But let me reiterate, I'm no sissy!
I'd be great in a home with older children, other playful cats, and dogs. I'm a great kitten with lots of personality and enthusiasm. I promise to provide plenty of entertainment! More than a barrelful of monkeys! I'm dying to meet you because I know we'll hit it off great!
Bernie is updated on shots, neutered, dewormed, microchipped, FIV/ FeLV negative, and ready for his indoor-only home. His adoption fee is $125 for kittens 9 months old and younger, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bernie, a Houston Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Houston, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
