Duke's Story...
Duke was on the top of the euthanasia list and that morning the volunteers tried once more to save his life by reaching out for this very worthy good boy! They sent email after email and every one was full. Not only that....the rescues could not afford him cause, you see, he's heart worm positive. A hard sell when rescues are on such limited funds.

But a good evaluation meant money was not going to be the reason he died....He was rescued by Diamond Dogs Rescue and immediately began his heart worm treatment.

Since then Duke completed treatment, has been fully vetted and brought current on all vaccines, neutered and microchipped. He's now in a foster home and we are learning this boy is well worth the save! He's smart, he's social, He's housebroken, crate trained, likes to please, has a good personality and fit into his foster home very nicely. In other words...this dog will make a great pet for some lucky family!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Duke, a Mount Holly Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Mount Holly, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Mount Holly.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mount Holly already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mount Holly breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mount Holly paves the way for another one to be saved.
