My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

BOONDOCK - Shepherd Mix, male, 1 year. Boondock is a healthy, happy and sweet 1-2 year old boy who is excited to meet the world! His favorite things include: army crawling everywhere, building piles of toys in his endless quest to find a favorite, lots of kisses to be sure you have no food left anywhere on your face, letting his tongue hang sideways out of his mouth, tons of playtime as he explores the world outside, and a constantly wagging tale. Boondock was a stray and things are still new to him. He is learning how to live in a home and still needs training; in the meantime, he would benefit from a secure fenced yard. He is housebroken and enjoys other dogs, is enthusiastic about cats, and is good with older children. Because everything is new to him, he needs some warm up time but soon shows just how much he enjoys the world. A family committed to training, slow and consistent exposure to new things, patience and reassurance will help Boondock become the loving and joyful boy you've been waiting for!

** If you are interested in adopting this dog, you must first complete an adoption application at http://peppertree.org/adoptapp.php. Or visit our site (http://peppertree.org/adoptlist.php) and learn about other Peppertree dogs. *Note: visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
