Hey there! My name is Martha, and I'm a very sweet and loving Bombay/ black DSH mix little girl who was born in March 2016. Like a typical playful, inquisitive, and affectionate Bombay mix, I have a shiny black-patent-leather coat and mesmerizing copper-penny eyes. What's neat is that, at times, my coat takes on a neat blue hue to the black.
Buster's Friends saved me from a shelter that was overcrowded, and I will be forever grateful. You know, when we black strays get saved from death row, we know what a good thing it is to be alive and have a home, even if it's a foster home. I promise you that I'm not the type of nonchalant cat who will ignore you and feel entitled. No sir, I have a lot of love and gratitude to give and want to receive a lot of love back from a family who will cherish me forever .
Did you know that Bombays are often called Velcro cats because they bond with their humans so well? And I'm no exception! In fact, I get along great with all critters -- both 2-legged and 4-legged -- be it kids, dogs, or other cats. So there are many homes that I would fit in just fine. Could that be your home, pretty please?
Please don't be superstitious of black cats! Buster's Friends makes a concerted effort to rescue black cats and kittens from shelters because they are five times more likely to be euthanized than any other color of cat. However, many people who have previously had a black or Bombay mix cat end up adopting another one because they seem to have such wonderful personalities and are emotionally stable and well balanced. To find out more about Bombay mixes, watch the attached 2-3 minute You Tube video that appeared on Animal Planet or Google "Cats 101 Bombay."
Martha is updated on shots, spayed, dewormed, microchipped, FIV/ FeLV negative, and ready for her indoor-only home. Her adoption fee is $125 for kittens 9 months old and younger, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends. About Buster's Friends

About Our Rescue Group...

Buster’s Friends was created in memory of Jennifer Fields. Jennifer spent countless hours rescuing and fostering hundreds of Houston’s homeless animals prior to losing her battle to cancer in May 2009. As a tribute to Jennifer and her dedication, we named the group after her beloved dog Buster, who made the journey to the Rainbow Bridge in August 2008.
