Zane's Story...
Adopted 7/1/2014

Zane is roughly 4 years old, super sweet and well mannered.  He is heartworm positive, but will undergo treatment prior to being adopted out.  He's in perfect health with the exception of the heatworms.  He came to us pretty skinny, so we are working on getting some meat on his bones.

He came to us crate trained and housebroken.  He is quiet in his kennel and does not destroy his bedding.  He loves to go for car rides and walks.  He does pull a bit on the leash, but with some training and patience he will do great!  Zane loves attention, so lots of petting, belly rubs and ball throwing will be requested from him.

He plays well with all the dogs at the Casa and will make a great companion!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zane, a Alvarado Rottweiler/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler/Labrador Retriever for sale in Alvarado, or seeking a Rottweiler/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Alvarado.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Alvarado already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Alvarado breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Rottweiler/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Alvarado paves the way for another one to be saved.
