Oliver-MAINE COON MIX - 8/13's Story...
Hi, I'm OLIVER. I am a Maine Coon mix who lives for attention. I'll run to you, try to wrap my arms around you, and hope you'll take the hint and pick me up. If you're not fast enough, I will flop down on the floor, paws in the air, begging for some petting. I like to wash your hands .. but you'll have to remind me not to nibble on your fingers. Not a good choice for little kids 'cuz of the nibbling thing. Another easygoing kitty would be great, and I don't mind a dog who will ignore me. I need humans who love to give a kitty LOTS of attention!

** OLIVER is estimated to be 10 months. His adoption fee is $125. Come see him at the Aurora PETSMART (976 S. Rt. 59, just north of Meijer)! WALK-IN ADOPTION HOURS at that location are 1-4:00 on SATURDAYS and SUNDAYS -- NO APPOINTMENT NECESSARY.

** For more information or to schedule a weekday appointment, please email purrsnaperville@yahoo.com. (Our phones are currently under maintenance, and will be available again shortly.)

** All PURRS' cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, FIV/FeLeuk tested, wormed, and microchipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oliver-MAINE COON MIX - 8/13, a Hillside Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Hillside, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Hillside.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hillside already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hillside breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hillside paves the way for another one to be saved.
