Turner's Story...
Hello my name is Turner (but sometimes they call me Lily) I spent time in foster before coming here to find my new family. My foster Mom says that I am an absolute wonderful pup , loyal, loving and playful. I get along with other dogs and cats as well, however I like to carry kittens around so have to be watched around small pets in case i think they are toys. I am crate trained and even like to go in my crate sometimes on my own if I am tired or just need a break. My foster family loved me dearly and would love to here how I am doing in my forever home. I am still a puppy at 5 months old and weigh in at about 20 pounds now so should stay medium as an adult. I am looking for a home that has the time, passion for fun and patience to take care of an active puppy. Please stop on by and visit and I am sure you will fall in love.
Before making the trip to visit the shelter we strongly recommend checking our website for information on adoption policies and procedures. Please understand that because we are a busy place and because so many animals need our care and attention, adoptions are on a first come basis and no animal will be put on hold. To inquire about a pet's availability or for more information, we encourage you to visit our shelter in person. Due to the high volume of interest, email and phone inquiries may not be returned on a daily basis. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to your visit! www.capeannanimalaid.org 978-283-6055 ex 10 for reception desk

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Turner, a Gloucester Fox Terrier (Smooth) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Fox Terrier (Smooth) for sale in Gloucester, or seeking a Fox Terrier (Smooth) dog from a breeder in Gloucester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gloucester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gloucester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Fox Terrier (Smooth) breeders who help with Fox Terrier (Smooth) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gloucester paves the way for another one to be saved.
