My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Macey is a little 40lb peanut estimated to be about 5 years old. This sweet big eared princess is spectacularly mellow and laid back, and obsessed with all things chicken flavored. Personally, we think she is the female version of Sleepy from the Sever Dwarfs. She is finally sleeping peacefully, making up for years of worry, fear, and restlessly sleepless nights. Macey gets along with kids, cats, and dogs of all sizes, usually just watching them enjoy life or enjoying some affection. Blue, white, tiny, and a smile that reaches from ear to ear, Macey loves to hear how pretty she is. If you give her a chance to, Macey will curl right into your lap and give you a kiss...or kisses upon kisses. Housebroken, patient, quiet, perfect on a leash, and wonderful in the car, this girl is perfect for a low activity home. She would love to be your companion and snooze by your side all day long. Also, Macey is respectful of boundaries and is happy to keep herself occupied when you need your human time, mostly that means she will take a nap. But, rest assured, she is never far away. Outside, she is focused on you and taking care of business, not easily distracted by people passing by. She is very calm and collected even in the most chaotic of situations. By far, Macey mastered her zen mode and constantly maintains it! She's probably a yoga master. Once you fall in love with her, its like you have been with her forever.

This girl was found during a heat wave after being tied outside to a pole for over 12 long humid sun blazed hours. She was sitting in a pool of blood whimpering. People thought she had an open wound- but she didn't. A good sam freed her and took her to the vet where we found out she had a severe UTI (that's where the pool of blood came from) and ear infection. This is now treated and she is healthy as can be! Honestly, we have no idea how Macey still loves everyone as much as she does! Macey cannot wait to show you how grateful she is to be saved and starting her new life, just give her a chance to!
