Grizzy's Story...
GRIZZY

"My name is Grizzy and I'm just about the cutest little guy there is. I'm a 2 year old male terrier mix who is a bit skittish at first but I warm up quickly. I wasn't treated so well in my past life so I'm still a little afraid of men but my foster dad is so patient and gentle with me that I am beginning to warm up to male humans. I was previously in a shelter and I was terrified because I was on a list to be euthanized the very next day...apparently no one wanted me. But just when I thought my life was over, LDRNM came to my rescue and saved me... I will never forget what they did for me. Just so you know, I'm a tail wagger who loves to lay on my back and beg to be petted. I'm gentle and sweet and I walk very well on leash. I learned how to use the doggy door right away so I guess you could say I'm pretty smart. Although I weigh 27 lbs., I am truly a lap dog because I'm affectionate and I love to cuddle up to my humans and be right next to them giving them all the love I have. I'm sure I will be the best dog for you because I appreciate every little thing in life, especially now that I've been given a second chance at life. Won't you give me a chance too?" Why Adoption is a Great Option

Grizzy, a Tijeras Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Tijeras, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Tijeras.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tijeras already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tijeras breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tijeras paves the way for another one to be saved.
