Duckee (BH)'s Story...
Duckee, Duckee, Duckee, that's my name! Man I love life and my bubbly and bouncy personality will quickly steal your heart. I can be a little shy at first, but once I'm comfortable you'll see the real me. I love all the others dogs in my foster home and even get along "beautifully" with cats too! I'm a calm and quiet sweetie and I rarely bark or whine. I love, love walking and car rides. All in all, I'm a happy, low maintenance sweetie who has lots of love to give! I would be a perfect pet for seniors too! Plus I'm house trained, crate trained AND leash trained. What more could you want? Pick me, Pick me!

If you are interested in meeting any Poochmatch dog at our weekly adoption event on Saturdays at the Petsmart in Yorba Linda, CA (5521 Mirage St.) between 1-5 PM, please fill out an application from our website, poochmatch.com, and return it via email to poochmatch@hotmail.com no later than 11 AM on Fridays. Due to the high volume of dogs and puppies in our foster homes, it is impossible to bring them all every Saturday. The only way to ensure that the dog that you are interested in will be at the adoption event is to FILL OUT AN APPLICATION. Otherwise, we cannot guarantee that the dog you are interested in will be at our adoption event. If you cannot make the time frame of our events, appointments can be made at another time and location solely at the discretion of the foster parent.

All adoption fees cover the mandatory and non-negotiable spay/neuter, rabies, microchip, necessary vaccinations, fecal testing and deworming. Adoption fees vary solely based on age and size.

Duckee was rescued from a Los Angeles kill shelter 2-years ago and was transported all the way to Crossville, Tennesse. (She's an excellent passenger too!) Unfortunately, soon after meeting her new mom and family, Duckee's new owner got very sick and spent many weeks in the hospital leaving Duckee and her sister kitties alone with only a neighbor looking in on them every few days. Sadly, her new owner died. Duckee was then transported back to California and was given to a friend who is a Poochmatch volunteer!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Duckee (BH), a Santa Ana Miniature Pinscher/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Pinscher/Dachshund for sale in Santa Ana, or seeking a Miniature Pinscher/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Santa Ana.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Santa Ana already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Santa Ana breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Pinscher/Dachshund breeders who help with Miniature Pinscher/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Santa Ana paves the way for another one to be saved.
