My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DOB June 2, 2003.

Brenda is a beautiful, calm and quiet feline who only pipes up when she's hungry or lonely. Although a senior cat, she still loves playing with string or ribbons and likes relaxing wherever the action is. Mellow in her old age, Brenda is happy to lie in the sun or be helped up onto couches and beds for a snuggle. You never have to shoo this cat off a table or countertop!

Brenda is a hyperthyroid cat with arthritis and as such her body has some occasional trouble. Sadly, she also has an inoperable tumour in her abdomen which will cut her life short. She requires a very special adopter who will help her live her final days in peace and love.

Because of her arthritis, she's not very agile and can sometimes it's difficult for her to position herself in the litterbox, so she pees over the edge. Brenda requires (and will always require) hyperthyroid medicine twice a day which can be crushed into her wet food. Because she is hyperthyroid, she needs blood work every three to six months.

Brenda will sometimes twitch or tremble in excitement, especially when getting a good scratch or pet. When she needs to be given medicine, have her coat brushed or have her nails clipped, there's no more well-behaved cat!

This gentle girl would love to relax and live out her days in a home that will love her unconditionally - will that be with you?

Thank you for welcoming a palliative care cat into your family - an adoption fee of your choice is appreciated versus our standard adoption fee of $175.
