My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dee is a pit mix who is about 1 year old. When she was first rescued, Dee was extremely shy and scared, but her previous foster mom did a huge amount of work to socialize her and allow her true loving and sweet nature to come out. When transitioning to a new home, Dee will still be shy at first, but she will quickly come out of her shell and you would have a very hard time finding a more loving, loyal, affectionate, sweet, sensitive companion! Everyone who met her on the transport absolutely fell in love with her and agreed there is just something special about her. She was around all kinds of dogs in her previous foster home and did great with all of them. Her current foster home has a cat in it, and while it would probably be possible to train her to leave the cat alone, she is just a little too interested, so she would do best in a home without cats. She walks great on a leash. She has lived with young kids in both her foster homes, and is great with them, although during the initial transition period she will need some time to learn they are not going to hurt her. Once she gets used to her surroundings, she is a super easy-going, calm but playful girl who would love to be your constant buddy, whether it's going for a long hike or just curling up on the couch with you!
