Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is Princess Grace, a perky purebred female Silky Terrier. Her intimates call her Gracie, to the rest of the world she is Your Royal Highness. At 7.4 pounds (on 08/09/16), she is a small dog with a big, pleasant personality. She is approximately 4 years old. Talk about being in the right place at the right time! When we arrived at a small animal control facility in southeastern Missouri on 06/22/16 to pick up 12 rescue dogs, we met skinny, scrawny Princess Grace. We couldn’t resist her. (We always have a spare crate onboard.) Gracie was at the shelter that day with a woman who had purchased the little dog at a yard sale due to her previous owner’s ill health. The woman wanted to surrender tiny Gracie to the shelter in the hope that a rescue group would take her in, see to her veterinary needs, and then adopt her into a permanent home. We’re doing just that! Gracie is a good girl; she’s most definitely not a “yappy little dog” and gets along well with the other dogs in her foster home. She sleeps through the night on her foster mom’s bed. Grace has storm anxiety, but quickly calms with a dose of liquid Rescue Remedy for Pets. She needs a securely fenced yard as she enjoys a bit of wanderlust and a walkabout. Gracie is spayed, up to date on all shots, on monthly heartworm/flea preventives, heartworm negative, and microchipped. She also had a dental with 15 (yes, fifteen!) extractions. Losing so many rotten teeth restored Gracie’s appetite and she’s gaining much needed weight. Princess Grace’s adoption fee is $250 with all vet work done.
