Yardley's Story...
Yardley is approx 6 months old and 20 lbs at 8/15/2016. She should be 35-40 lbs when fully grown. She is a really sweet and active pup who loves to run and play with her buddies. This is a good age to start her on some obedience training and that will be a requirement of any adoption. She is pretty good about running outside to go to the bathroom, but will still need some training and will need leash/harness training. As she is so active, older children are preferable. The shelter had Yardley as a schnauzer mix, but when we got her to the vet, he thought she might be a medium F1 labradoodle, but we have no idea if she is or not. She does have the look of one, and they are not good for allergies and do have some shedding.

The total adoption cost of $475 includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration . The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. All our dogs are in foster care, there is no physical shelter. Some have not yet arrived in PA.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Yardley, a Allentown Labradoodle/Schnauzer (Standard) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labradoodle/Schnauzer (Standard) for sale in Allentown, or seeking a Labradoodle/Schnauzer (Standard) dog from a breeder in Allentown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Allentown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Allentown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labradoodle/Schnauzer (Standard) breeders who help with Labradoodle/Schnauzer (Standard) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Allentown paves the way for another one to be saved.
