Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Watson is one of 5 tiny dogs who were abandoned in their home when the owners moved out. He is a Yorkie with a natural tail between 2-4 years old who weighs 5 pounds. Watson had to learn how to be a normal dog because he acted as if he had been left in a small room with nothing but white walls and the other dogs to look at. He is very sweet and likes to cuddle. Now that he has gotten used to being in a normal home, he is a very cheerful, happy dog. He loves people and other dogs and has started playing with the other dogs in his foster home. Watson is doing well with his housebreaking. Just to be on the safe side, we recommend that when he gets to his new home, he wear a belly band to prevent accidents in the house. Watson would do well in a calm home with someone who is patient and who understands that he is learning something new every day. He would also do best in a home with another small dog to cuddle with and learn from but not a super playful assertive dog who would scare him. Please note that because Watson has such delicate bones, we do not recommend him to families with children under 6.
We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.
