Baron Munchausen's Story...
****COURTESY POSTING****

Baron Munchausen, Munch for short, a 3 month old Cocker Spaniel/Dachshund puppy is looking for his forever home.

Munch has been neutered, given his first set of shots, and been microchipped. He was put on flea/tick medication and was dewormed. He is currently around 10 lbs. and will most likely be a standard cocker spaniel size (20-30 lbs.).

He is extremely cute and active, and gets along well with dogs and loves people. He met a cat and had little to no interest, but I’m sure would be friends with your kitty. He has learned how to Sit and Lay down already and is working on learning to Stay. He knows how to go out the dog door and usually goes to the bathroom outside, but since he is so young he still has the occasional accident. He can be very mouthy and doesn’t understand that he can’t nibble on people yet, but this can easily be worked on and is much better than when we first got him.

Potential adopters must fill out an adoption application and pay $200 adoption fee to cover part of the medical costs. If you are interested please email juliajcody@gmail.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Baron Munchausen, a La Canada Flintridge Cocker Spaniel/Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel/Dachshund for sale in La Canada Flintridge, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel/Dachshund puppy from a breeder in La Canada Flintridge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in La Canada Flintridge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a La Canada Flintridge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel/Dachshund breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in La Canada Flintridge paves the way for another one to be saved.
