George's Story...
"Hey, everybody! My name is GEORGE, and if you're looking for a happy and good-natured friend, then I'm your boy. I'm a five-year-old long-haired Chihuahua, and everyone who spends time with me agrees that I'm an all-around great pooch. I have a loving, delightful personality, and I'd be a wonderful family pet in a home where the kids are older and considerate. I get along nicely with other dogs, too. I'm a well-mannered gentleman, and I know how to sit and lie down on command. I like to go on walks, and I love to snuggle. You can't go wrong with a nice little dog like me. It gets a bit lonely here at the shelter, so I hope you'll come visit me soon and consider making me your furry friend. I'm waiting for you here at the El Cajon Animal Shelter. Please ask the helpful staff if we can go out to the nice play yard that they have here so you can see what a good fellow I am. Love, George"

Why Adoption is a Great Option

George, a El Cajon Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
