Hunter is an amazing 4 yr. old, neutered, people and dog-friendly, Foxhound mix. He lived his life outside on a chain and was brought to a local, N. J. shelter. Friends of Linden Animal Shelter, Linden, N. J., stepped up to save him and he is living at the shelter in his kennel. Hunter has come such a long way! At first, he knew nothing about life, no manners, no commands, didn't know how to walk on a leash or take treats or play. Now, with the help of our amazing volunteers, Hunter even goes for overnights at one of our volunteer's home! There we learned more about Hunter. He is housebroken, crate trained, is excellent with the volunteer's dog, is great in the car, and loves a fenced in yard which we recommend him having. Hunter has learned Sit, Paw, Down, Come and can catch a treat in mid air! He is excellent at adoption events and is kind to people of all ages. We recommend a home with older children, due to his size and we recommend that he is best with medium to large dogs, due to his natural prey drive. Oh, and no cats, please. Sorry cats you miss out on a buddy! Please apply to adopt this very handsome, intelligent, now playful pup who wants a second chance at life...and this time, one that will love him and treat him like a family member. Please apply to adopt Hunter at folas.org and then email email@example.com to meet him.
